Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Sanjay Krishna Bhadra, popularly known as Kalighat wale Kaku, presented himself at the office of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in response to the summons issued in the state's notorious teacher appointment corruption case.
The questioning commenced after his arrival at 11:03 am on Tuesday, marking his first appearance before the ED. Prior to this, he had faced interrogation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). When asked about his feelings, Kaku cryptically stated that his confidence would be put to the test once he emerged from the proceedings.
The ED had previously conducted a raid at his residence, unearthing substantial evidence, including assets worth millions.
Notably, documents of three companies were discovered, and their directors and accountants have already undergone questioning, affirming Kaku's pivotal role in the operation.
